Hey Edmonton, now is the time to invest in our future.
Edmonton thrives when we work together. A strong, inclusive, and sustainable city means smart investments in the services Edmontonians rely on every day. Civic Service Union 52 (CSU 52) members deliver these core services, ensuring our city remains a place where people thrive.
We are the more than 6,000 dedicated professionals working behind the scenes to keep Edmonton running—from answering your important calls to reuniting lost pets. Our work ensures clean water, reliable power, safe public spaces, well-functioning libraries, and quality recreational programs are available to all Edmontonians.
Now is the time to prioritize strategic investments in these core services. Every dollar spent today on maintaining and strengthening essential services saves money in the long run and builds a stronger future for all of us.
We urge you to think about the services that impact your life every day. These are your tax dollars at work, and they should be used wisely to strengthen the foundation of our city. Edmonton’s future depends on smart decisions that prioritize people and essential services, not short-term cuts or wasteful spending.
CSU 52 members are committed to building a city that works for everyone. Let’s invest in Edmonton’s future together.

— CSU52
We believe in an Edmonton that works for all of us. An Edmonton that is inclusive, vibrant, and connected. We love our jobs because we love
our city.
Fair Wages for Edmonton’s
Municipal Workers
Since 2018, CSU 52 members have received a total wage increase of 9.25%, averaging a little over 1% per year—a rate far below the average rate of inflation. CSU 52 members have done our part to be fair and reasonable, but the reality is, our wages have not kept pace with the rising cost of living.

Meanwhile, other municipal workers across Alberta have seen significantly higher wage increases. CSU 52 members are simply asking for a wage adjustment that helps recover some of the lost ground and ensure our wages account for cost of living increases.

It’s time to recognize the dedication of the workers delivering Edmonton’s core services with a fair and competitive wage offer—one that respects the hard work we do every day.
